Our Branch
The Information Services Branch delivers and supports the technology that keeps Council connected, secure and operational. Within this environment, the Secured Networks team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the network services that underpin critical Council operations across a large and geographically distributed environment.

You'll oversee operational performance today while helping define the technology capabilities needed for tomorrow.

- provide expert advice on network architecture, service resilience, operational performance, security controls and future technology direction
- influence solution designs for projects ensuring they meet approved technical directions
- drive strategic initiatives that improve capability, availability and service outcomes
- lead major incident response, root cause investigations and operational improvement activities
- contribute to technology roadmaps and future-state planning
- build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors and service providers
- mentor and develop technical specialists while building a high-performing team culture
- support the adoption of emerging technologies and evolving service delivery models
To be successful you will have:
- substantial experience leading network operations, network services or infrastructure teams within a large and complex enterprise environment
- strong technical expertise across enterprise networking technologies, operational support models and service management practices
- demonstrated experience delivering and supporting complex network environments while maintaining high levels of service availability
- the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes and recommendations
- proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders and decision-makers
- experience leading major incidents, technical investigations and operational improvement initiatives
- highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present clear, evidence-based recommendations
- demonstrated success developing, mentoring and leading high-performing technical teams
- experience contributing to technology strategy, architectural discussions and future-state planning
