This is a fast-growing consumer goods business based in Melbournes west. With operations and outlets across Australia this is a great role for a someone who loves the day to day but can also help improve their national and international logistics network!

You'll own the day-to-day planning of the transport network, domestic road and linehaul across an internal and 3PL network. You will also be the person analysing freight spend, fleet performance, and delivery numbers to work out what's actually going on and what to do about it. Implementing SLA's and aligning with cost effective values aligned carriers will be key to success.

What you'll be doing:

- Running national fleet operations — compliance, utilisation, cost, planning
- Analysing freight spend against the P&L; and identifying where cost can be improved
- Negotiating rates and contracts with carriers
- Managing international sea freight coming in from Asia
- Supporting the purchasing team with POs, supplier relationships, and vendor reviews
- Building dashboards and reporting that inform real decisions, making reports for board etc
- Working inside SAP and freight management systems to keep data accurate
