Hamilton Barnes is partnering with a well established Managed Services Provider to appoint a Systems & Network Engineer into its growing Projects team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys delivering end to end technical projects. The role is approximately 80% project delivery and 20% high level support , allowing engineers to focus on designing, implementing and delivering modern infrastructure solutions while providing technical expertise on complex escalations when required.

The successful engineer will join a specialist team that delivers technology solutions to organisations operating across the mining and heavy industry sector , supporting business critical environments where reliability, security and performance are essential. The position is hybrid, based from Tingalpa, with regular travel to customer sites across South East Queensland.

Key responsibilities:





- Design and deliver Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure projects
- Deploy and support Windows Server, VMware and Hyper V environments
- Implement routing, switching, wireless, VPN and firewall solutions
- Deliver infrastructure refreshes, cloud migrations and technology modernisation projects
- Produce high quality technical documentation, solution designs and project handovers
- Mentor engineers through peer reviews and technical guidance
- Contribute to automation initiatives and the adoption of AI driven technologies across project delivery

Key experience required:

- Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure
- Windows Server and virtualisation technologies
- Robust networking experience across routing, switching, wireless and firewalls
- Excellent customer facing communication and documentation skills
