The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028 will be the biggest cricket world cup ever staged in the southern hemisphere — and this is your chance to be part of it.

Co‑hosted by Australia and Recent Zealand and operated by a Local Organising Committee (LOC), the tournament will bring together the world’s best teams and players, billions of fans and two nations passionate about delivering unforgettable global events. Across October and November 2028, cricket’s fastest and most exciting format will take centre stage on a truly global platform.

ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of Ticketing & Hospitality, the Ticketing Operations Manager will translate the tournament ticketing strategy, policies and commercial requirements into operational plans and delivery.

The role will lead ticketing operations across allocated venues, including management of venue stakeholders, event builds, inventory, digital ticketing, access control, customer service, venue readiness and tournament‑time operations.

The Ticketing Operations Manager will work with the Head of Ticketing & Hospitality and the other Ticketing Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operational management of the appointed tournament‑wide ticketing supplier. While the starting point is that each manager will oversee venues within their respective country, venue responsibilities may be adjusted to balance workloads based on the final tournament venue allocation.

The role will also manage the Ticketing Operations Coordinator and work closely with internal teams, venues and other delivery partners to ensure ticketing operations are planned and delivered consistently across the tournament.

This is a maximum term contract until 15 December 2028. Applications close on 19 August 2028 .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with the Head of Ticketing & Hospitality and the other Ticketing Operations Manager, lead the day‑to‑day operational management of the appointed ticketing supplier.

Lead the supplier’s delivery across allocated venues, including event builds, inventory, digital ticketing, access control,



customer service and tournament operations.

Monitor performance against agreed plans, milestones, service levels and costs.

Resolve operational issues and escape significant commercial, contractual or performance matters to the Head of Ticketing & Hospitality.

Ticketing systems and inventory

Translate approved products, pricing, seating plans, allocations, and sales requirements into clear instructions for the ticketing supplier.

Support the development and implementation of tournament‑wide ticketing policies, procedures and customer terms, ensuring they are applied consistently by the ticketing supplier and across venues.

Lead venue ticketing audits and quality assurance of event builds before release.

Manage inventory, holds, allocations, releases and handbacks across allocated venues.

Oversee ticket delivery, transfer, resale, refund, exchange and reissue processes.

Venue and stakeholder delivery

Own ticketing delivery for allocated venues, including any venue assigned in the other host country.

Manage relationships with stakeholders across each allocated venue, including venue operators, host cities, cricket bodies, government partners, security teams and local delivery partners.

Develop and maintain a ticketing operations manual for each allocated venue.

Lead venue inspections, readiness planning, access control testing and operational signoff.

Drive a seamless and consistent customer ticketing experience across all allocated venues.

Tournament operations

Plan and lead match‑day operations across allocated venues.

Ensure supplier, venue and temporary ticketing workforces are trained and ready.

Maintain contingency plans and lead the response to ticketing and access‑control incidents.

Track venue readiness and report on operational performance, risks, and decisions required.

Team and project management

Work closely with the Head of Ticketing & Hospitality on operational planning, priorities, key decisions, risks and supplier performance across the tournament.

Work collaboratively across Australia and New Zealand and provide support across venues and workstreams where required to meet tournament priorities and balance workloads.

Manage and develop the Ticketing Operations Coordinator - Australia.

Work with the Ticketing Operations Manager – Australia to ensure consistent processes, service standards and reporting across the tournament.





Manage plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies for allocated work.

Coordinate with teams across the LOC to support sales launches, customer communications, stakeholder allocations and tournament readiness.

Financial control and reporting

Work with Finance and the ticketing supplier on settlements, sales and payment reconciliations, refunds, chargebacks and invoice validation.

Maintain appropriate financial controls and support audit requirements.

Provide the Head of Ticketing & Hospitality with accurate and timely reporting on inventory, sales, supplier performance, venue readiness, risks and match‑day delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

At least five years’ relevant experience in ticketing operations, venue ticketing or major‑event delivery.

Sound commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, supplier costs, financial controls and commercial outcomes.

Experience delivering ticketing across multiple venues or cities, from event build and on‑sale readiness through to match‑day operations.

Experience managing a ticketing supplier and holding it accountable for delivery.

Strong knowledge of ticketing systems, seating plans, inventory controls, digital ticketing and access‑control operations.

Sound knowledge of the Australia ticketing and venue environment.

Strong project management, stakeholder management and people leadership skills, with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to travel within Australia and between host countries, and work evenings, weekends and extended hours during key periods.

Highly desirable

Experience working on an international sporting tournament or high‑volume, multi‑venue major event.

Knowledge of cricket and its stakeholder environment in Australia and/or New Zealand.
