What you will be doing
As a Communication Technician you will be responsible for the below duties:
- Maintaining and troubleshooting site communication systems
- Diagnosing faults across wireless, radio and LTE networks
- Programming and fault finding on Hexagon CAS and OAS-HV systems
- Supporting Modular Mining and fleet management communication systems
- Maintaining P25 digital radio communication equipment
- Troubleshooting Cambium and Ubiquiti wireless networks
- Supporting Rajant wireless mesh network infrastructure
- Maintaining communication systems across mining equipment and light vehicles
- Interrogating network switches and communication hardware
- Conducting preventative maintenance and system upgrades
What you will need
To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:
- Certificate III in Telecommunications
- Experience with the above duties
- Coal board medical within last 2 years
- Registered Cablers Licence (BICSI)
- Standard 11
- Experience working with LTE (4G) systems
- Robust troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
- Current Driver's Licence
