Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Civil) to lead the delivery of major road infrastructure projects through the pre-construction phase. You will be responsible for managing project planning, design, procurement, contract administration and stakeholder engagement while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure projects throughout the pre-construction phase.
- Lead preliminary and detailed design, procurement and contract administration activities.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, expenditure and overall project performance.
- Act as the Principal's Representative during relevant phases of project delivery.
- Manage tender preparation, evaluation and contract award processes.
- Provide expert engineering and technical advice on project planning, design, construction methodologies and delivery strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, environmental requirements, legislation and quality management systems.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and stakeholder expectations.




- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and effectively manage project resources.
- Prepare project reports and provide regular updates on progress, costs and delivery outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 15 years' experience delivering major transport or civil infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing road infrastructure projects through design and pre-construction phases.
- Strong background in project management, procurement and contract administration.
- Proven financial and commercial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
- Experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Robust knowledge of civil engineering standards, project delivery methodologies and infrastructure best practices.
- Ability to deliver complex projects within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality expectations.

Qualifications & Clearance

Mandatory

- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord (or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia).
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Construction Industry White Card (or equivalent).
- Ability to successfully complete a Criminal History Check.

Highly Desirable

- Experience delivering major government or public infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of transport infrastructure planning, design and construction.
- Experience working within large-scale road infrastructure programs.
