Mowing/Gardening Crew Member - Full Time

About the Role

MPG are seeking enthusiastic, skilled and reliable individuals to be a part of our green space mowing and gardening crews on a full-time basis in the City of Casey council area.

Ideally you will have experience in operating commercial mowers, brush cutters and knapsacks.

The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed to a high standard, in a safe manner and reported via our online management system. The successful candidate must also work well in a team and carry out tasks independently following direction, be physically fit, punctual and have excellent communication skills.

Primary tasks include, but are not limited to:

Lawn mowing, brush cutting and weed spraying

Conducting/participating in onsite safety briefings

Inspection, making safe and clearing litter and debris from parklands and garden beds

Removing and reporting broken or fallen trees and tree branches

Looking out for the safety of self and others

Other open space maintenance and gardening duties,



as required

Mandatory Skills/Requirements:

Great attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace

Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Previous experience in the operation of commercial mowers, brush cutters and knapsacks

Physically fit, hard working with a strong work ethic

Current VIC Vehicle License (Car)

Current Working With Children's Check (or provision to provide within 2 weeks of commencement)

Police check (or provision to provide within 2 weeks of commencement)

Excellent attention to detail

Daily access to a smart phone and ability to operate digital technologies

Must be an Australian permanent resident

Desirable (But Not Necessary) Qualifications:

Gardening and Horticulture

Mechanically minded

Current First Aid certificate

Chemical weed control certificate
