Us at Brunswick Doctors
Brunswick Doctors is a private-billing GP clinic providing high-quality, holistic care to a wonderfully diverse community. We’re proud of our warm, supportive team culture and the extra care we take for our patients and each other.
We like being organised, kind, skilled and having a good laugh along the way. There will be coffee, snacks, good waiting-room music and, yes, a kettle.
The role
We’re looking for a caring and capable Registered Nurse (Division 1) to join our team during a maternity leave placement for one of our beloved nurses.
Although this is a 12 month placement, it will likely be an ongoing role for 2-3 days a week .
You’ll work closely with our GPs, reception team and other clinical staff to create a calm, welcoming and well-organised experience for patients.
Organisation and initiative are a big part of excellent GP nursing. This is a busy, hands-on role at the front line of patient care, balancing patient-facing work with clinic operations, stock management and preparation for procedures.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing general nursing care, wound management and health assessments (HCC, 45-49, 75+ HA)
- Preparing, reviewing and managing chronic disease care plans (GPCCMP)
- Results recalls, reminders and follow-up care
- Independently performing vaccinations under GP's instructions
- Iron infusions (Cannulation skill is a must!)
- Assisting GPs with procedures including IUDs, Implanon, skin excisions and suturing
- Managing stock, cold-chain processes and day-to-day clinical operations
- Supporting clinic administration and helping keep systems, workflows and checklists up to date
Who are we looking for?
You are a kind, mature, reliable person.
You are naturally organised and proactive, someone who notices what needs doing, FOLLOWS THROUGH, and ensures patients receive safe, seamless care.
You’ll probably enjoy checklists, tidy systems and being prepared, but you’ll also know how to be warm, approachable and reassuring with patients.
We’re looking for someone who can balance attention to detail with a friendly, polished and professional presence, and an awesome human being to join our work family.
Essential:
- Fluent English
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in GP nursing, care planning and clinical procedures (Cannulation skill preferred)
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Not afraid to figure things out independently
- Remain professional in high-pressure situations
Desirable, but not essential:
- Experience using Best Practice and POLAR
- A fondness for good vibes, reggae music and fluffy animals
How to apply

Your cover letter does not need to be formal. Just tell us a little about yourself, your relevant experience and your availability. Please keep it real, we’re looking forward to meeting a kind and genuine person.
