The Role

Working closely with the business owner, you'll provide a mix of accounting, taxation and advisory services to clients while also supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Preparing financial statements, tax returns and BAS
- Providing bookkeeping and general accounting support
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying opportunities to grow and develop a client portfolio




- Providing business advice and support to SME clients
- Managing client work from start to finish with a high level of autonomy

What You'll Need to Succeed

- Previous public practice accounting experience
- CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion)
- Solid tax and accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A good understanding of the Townsville business community and local networks
- Commercial accounting experience will be viewed favourably
