Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative – Corporate Services now has the following vacancy at our Mooroopna Office

Full-time | 38 hours per week

This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, classified under 'special measures' of Section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.

About the Role

Dunguludja Yakapna is Rumbalara's culturally grounded healing framework that captures and celebrates our unique approach to delivering holistic care and support across our diverse range of services. Embedded in Aboriginal culture and community, the program strengthens healing, resilience, cultural identity and wellbeing.

As the Aboriginal Healing Practitioner, you will develop and deliver holistic healing interventions that support Aboriginal boys, young people, women, men, families and community members experiencing trauma and/or family violence. The role also includes facilitating Men's Business in a culturally safe and respectful manner where appropriate.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience providing holistic healing support to Aboriginal boys, young people, men,



families and communities experiencing trauma and/or family violence.
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, including Men's Business and culturally safe healing practices.
- Experience conducting cultural assessments and developing culturally appropriate healing interventions and support plans.
- The ability to build respectful relationships and work collaboratively with Aboriginal communities, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
- A commitment to strengthening cultural identity, healing, belonging and community connection through culturally responsive practice.
- A Diploma or Certificate in Community Services, Mental Health or Family Support (or equivalent experience). A degree focusing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and issues is highly desirable.
