Harbour Early Learning Vaucluse Certificate III / Diploma Educator

Harbour Early Learning is a state of the art, recently completed purpose-built centre. Our landmark building is located on Village High Road in Vaucluse. We are a 97-place centre and our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. We are open 52 weeks a year, except for Public Holidays.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certificate III or Diploma qualified educator to join a qualified and dedicated team of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators. The position is full time 38 hrs, 5 days (Monday to Friday). You will have the privilege of working with like-minded collaborators who are setting the new benchmark for early learning.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training, or willingness to obtain.
- Current Child Safety & Child Protection training or willingness to obtain.
- Clear Working with Children Check.
- Australian citizen or permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- At least 1 year of previous experience working with children aged Birth to 5 years.
- Genuine willingness to work with any age groups (including Birth to 2 years).
- Sound computer literacy skills related to documentation and program planning.




- Demonstrated understanding of current education and care legislation regulations and guidelines.
- High level interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Effective implementation of theory and research-based pedagogy.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Create a child-safe environment that acknowledges and encourages each and every child’s agency and participation.
- Facilitate and document learning opportunities founded on children's interests.
- Work collaboratively with a team of ECT, Diploma and Certificate III qualified professionals.
- Develop and maintain positive and welcoming relationships with families.
- Follow centre’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
