ICM Agribusiness (Peechelba Beef) are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Plant Operator to join their team in Peechelba VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Preparing and positioning plant for operation
- Operating tractor drawn and self-propelled plant to plough land and sow, fertilise, cultivate and harvest crops, and avoid damaging crops.
- Calibrating and monitoring plant performance, including adjusting speed, height and depth of implements as well as distribution or collection rates as needed.
- Operating plant to conduct farm and feedlot operations
- Identify the appropriate machine for the task being performed.
- Keeping production and work records and writing reports
- Servicing plant and performing minor repairs
- Conduct pre-start checks on all machinery and ensure all machinery is running efficiently.
- Operate machinery efficiently to remove manure from pens, around the fertiliser processing area and out on the farm.
- Operate machinery efficiently within the Feeds area, loading trucks, sorting commodities and processing rations.
- Assist with the implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure that productive feeding is conducted on a day-to-day basis.
- Use the appropriate attachments for the task such as buckets, hay forks, bunk sweep and bunk blower attachments.
- Use the appropriate plant to turn windrows in the manure composting area and throughout the drying process including screening fertiliser to ensure impurities are removed.
- Load trucks with processed fertiliser for spreading on the farm and crop paddocks or to sell to external farmers for their crop paddocks or the home gardener.
- Load trucks with the appropriate ration and amount of ration for each load to feed all cattle on the farm/feedlot.
- Ensure a high standard of presentation is maintained around the farm/feedlot.
- Ensuring all plant (stationary or moving) are presented as clean as reasonably possible.
- Maximise the sustainable return from the land, capital, commodity, plant, equipment and water assets used with that department.

Work Health and Safety policies and procedures while operating plant and equipment. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- One year of experience operating large broadacre farming machinery and/or earth moving equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision when required.
- An ability to follow set protocols and ensure compliance with relevant animal welfare, safety, and QA requirements.
Salary range is $69,000-$80,000pa commensurate with experience
