Giiguy Gamambi Preschool is an Aboriginal community-controlled preschool on Gumbaynggirr Country at Nambucca Heads. For more than 50 years we have cared for and educated children aged 3 to 5, and we are proud to be rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard. Our philosophy reflects play-based, child-led learning that is connected to Country. Gumbaynggirr language, weekly cultural excursions to the bush, beach and river with Community and Elders, and a natural outdoor workplace where native birds and animals visit are part of everyday life here.

- Design and deliver a high-quality, play-based curriculum connected to Country.
- Build warm, secure relationships where children feel safe, seen and heard, through trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
- Create rich outdoor learning experiences and support children's right to risky play.
- Adapt your practice to include and support children with high learning support needs.
- Document children's learning, reflect on your practice and contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan
What You'll Bring
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating environments rich in play possibilities, and who brings both qualifications and heart to the role.
- A Diploma (or an ACECQA-approved equivalent) of Early Childhood Education and Care, with all associated qualifications and approved training.
- A genuine understanding of children's play and hands-on, child-led experiences.
- Expertise in adapting your practice for children with high learning support needs.
- A commitment to culturally safe and child-safe practice, children's rights and a trauma-informed approach.
