We are looking for painter with experience working on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled at repairing, preparing and applying paints/varnishes and other coatings by brush, roller or spray gun as well as being highly skilled at various surface repair and restoration.

We work on construction sites primarily in the Sydney CBD, however this role requires the willingness to work across all of Sydney Metro.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, repairing defects)
- Apply paints, varnishes and other coatings by brush, roller or spray guns.
- Apply special finishes
- Calculate accurately the materials required for each job to minimise waste.
- Maintain equipment & tools including proper cleaning and storing.
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean & safe, and that you are up to date on safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and builders.
- Speciality surface repair, restoration and refinishing.

Skills & Qualifications

- Completion of an apprenticeship or training program in painting and decorating.
- Good colour sense (ability to identify issues with colour matching)




- Abiliity to work independently and part of a team
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
- Valuable communication and customer service skills
- White card

Experience required

- At least 2 years’ experience working on construction sites carrying out various types of defect repairs and refinishes with a combination of brush, roller and spray gun applications.
- Specialty surface repair and refinishing highly regarded.
