About the Role:
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to play a key role in coordinating homelessness prevention and early intervention initiatives as part of our Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS).
Working collaboratively within the 2Connect Youth & Community team, you’ll build on existing networks, strengthen local partnerships, and support young people, families, and single adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to achieve safe, affordable, and sustainable housing.
You’ll coordinate case management, community development, and service delivery, while ensuring project outcomes, reporting, and compliance requirements are met.
We seek an experienced & qualified professional to:
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local services, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Coordinate prevention and early intervention case management and post-crisis support for clients.
- Convene and support the St George & Sutherland Housing Interagency and update the Low-Cost Accommodation List fortnightly.
- Manage project administration, reporting, and financial documentation.
- Maintain accurate client records and utilise departmental and 2Connect IT systems.
- Provide outreach and education to community partners and service providers.
- Contribute to organisational planning, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
About You
You’re an organised, proactive community sector professional who enjoys both client-facing work and coordination responsibilities. You bring strong communication, administrative, and relationship-building skills, with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people and families.
- Demonstrated experience in youth or community services.
- Strong case management skills with young people and families
- Experience working with diverse communities, including First Nations young people, CALD clients, and those with mental health issues or disabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet KPIs, work independently, and collaborate within a team.
- Solid organisational and administrative skills.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- NSW driver’s licence and comprehensively insured vehicle.
- . Relevant tertiary qualification in Social/Human Services or related field
- . Experience in the Housing and Homelessness Sector
- . Experience using Client Information Management System (CIMS) datebase
- Knowledge of the impact of domestic and family violence on individuals, families, and communities.
