Furniture Design Studio is looking for a Draftsperson / Set-Out Technician to join our growing team in Balcatta.
We're specifically looking for someone with a cabinet making background.
This role would suit either:
• An experienced Cabinet Maker looking to get off the tools and move into a drafting and project support role
• An experienced Draftsperson with a robust cabinetry and joinery background
Working closely with our project and production teams, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, set-outs and manufacturing documentation for a range of commercial and residential joinery projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Producing detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation using Pytha
• Preparing set-outs and construction details for factory production and site installation
• Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications
• Liaising with project managers, installers and factory staff to resolve design and production issues




• Assisting with material take-offs and procurement requirements where required
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, practical to manufacture and delivered on time
About You
• Trade qualified Cabinet Maker or equivalent industry experience
• Strong understanding of commercial and residential joinery construction
• Experience using Pytha, or the ability to quickly learn
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and consultant documentation
• Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Valuable communication skills and a team-first attitude
