About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrician or Renewable Energy Technician to join the O&M; team and support the ongoing performance and reliability of a large-scale solar asset.
As an Electrical Technician, you will support the safe and reliable operation of the solar farm through maintenance, inspections, fault finding and troubleshooting, while driving equipment performance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, inspections, fault finding and troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including repair and replacement of faulty components
- Support maintenance procedures, SOPs, commissioning activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance records,
reporting and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with site teams, support safe operations and provide guidance to junior technicians where required
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working within renewable energy, utility-scale solar, industrial or similar infrastructure environments.
- Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair and installation
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- Experience working independently and as part of a site-based team
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety and operational excellence
- Valid QLD Electrical Supervisor’s Licence or Electrical Contractor’s Licence
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current LVR/CPR certification
- Current First Aid certification
