Preparation for Leaving Care (PLC) Services
Residential Services for Separated Children Seeking International Protection

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to lead and support teams across diverse child-centred services, ensuring high standards of care and development for young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support teams across.

• Ensure the emotional, social, and educational needs of children and young people are met in line with individual care plans.

• Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive setting, in compliance with HIQA standards, child protection policies, and safeguarding legislation.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of service provision across all settings.

• Support career development, reflective practice, and continuous learning for care teams.

• Collaborate with the Registered Manager, external agencies, and families to deliver high-quality, holistic care.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Social Care,



Youth Work, or a related discipline (minimum Level 7).

• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in residential childcare.

• Significant experience in residential childcare, with exposure to mainstream, PLC, or SCSIP services desirable.

• Solid leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of HIQA regulations, child protection, safeguarding, and best practice standards.

• Ability to work with young people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
