The Role

/n

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will drive operational excellence, strategic growth, and a positive culture. You will oversee sporting, gaming, hospitality, and asset maintenance operations, while partnering with the Board to finalise and execute the new Strategic and Master Plan's.

There is a very strong management team already in place, covering aspects like Club/Golf Functions and Events, Sponsorship, Marketing, Accounts/Payroll and Operations/Duty Managers.

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Operational Leadership: Provide day-to-day oversight of all club operations, including bar, restaurant, gaming, pro shop and course/grounds maintenance.

/n

- Financial & Strategic Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while implementing the Board's strategic objectives to enhance commercial performance.

/n

- Gaming Operations: Ability to analyse gaming performance and drive revenue growth.

/n

- People & Culture: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance team; manage staff rostering, recruitment, and workplace relations.

/n

- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to legislative, licensing, corporate governance,



AML/CTF, AUSTRAC and WHS requirements.

/n

- Community Engagement: Act as the public face of the Club, maintaining strong relationships with members, guests, community groups, government representatives, and the Board.

Key Selection Criteria

/n

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:

/n

/n

- Proven Leadership: Extensive management experience within club, hospitality, or sporting operations.

/n

- Financial Acumen: Solid capability in budgeting, accounting practices, financial reporting, and interpreting commercial results.

/n

- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a proven history of working collaboratively with a Board of Directors, staff, and club members.

/n

- Operational Knowledge: Sound background in gaming operations, compliance, and food/beverage management.

/n

- Tech Proficiency: Experience utilising industry software such as MiClub, MiMembership, Xero,Swift Pos and Microsoft Office.

/n

- Knowledge of golf or sporting club operations.

/n/n

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

/n

/n

- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling) qualifications.

/n

- Current NT Machine Mangers Licence (or ability to obtain one locally).

/n

- Valid right to work in Australia.

/n/n
