Crane Operator – Non‑Slew (CN) / Advanced Rigger - Multiple Positions

UGL is seeking experienced, safety‑focused Crane Operators – Non‑Slew (CN) / Advanced Riggers to join a major underground project at Olympic Dam in South Australia. Working as part of a high‑performing underground projects team, you will play a critical role in complex lifting operations, rigging, and crane activities supporting structural, mechanical and civil project delivery.

About the Role

- Operate non‑slew cranes, with a strong focus on Franna mobile crane operations.
- Undertake advanced rigging, lifting, relocation and installation activities.
- Plan and execute complex lifts, including lift studies, lift plans and risk assessments.
- Work closely with Supervisors, Engineers, Dogmen and other trade groups to deliver safe and efficient lifts.
- Conduct pre‑start checks, inspections and routine maintenance of crane and rigging equipment.
- Interpret lifting plans, drawings, work packs and specifications.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, risk management, quality and schedule performance.

About You

- Crane Operator Non‑Slew (CN) High Risk Work Licence.
- Advanced Rigger (RA) High Risk Work Licence.
- Demonstrated significant experience operating Franna mobile cranes in mining, heavy industrial or project environments.
- Proven capability in advanced rigging, lift planning and complex lift execution.
- Strong knowledge of load charts, safe working limits and lifting practices.
- Mechanical trade qualification highly regarded.
- Ability to work from lift plans, drawings and project documentation.
- Previous underground mining experience desirable but not essential.




- Driver’s licence.
- Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets desirable.
- Dogman ticket desirable.
- Strong safety mindset and ability to contribute positively within a team workplace.
