ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting prospect has arisen for a Configuration Manager to join our Canberra based team. This role will be responsible for managing the configuration data that surrounds the systems being supported by Blacktree.

Accountabilities for the role include:

Develop, deliver, and update Configuration Management Plans (CMP) in accordance with internal/client requirements.

Conduct all Configuration Management (CM) activities for the allocated Contracts in accordance with the Approved CMP(s) and the applicable documents.

Monitor and report to the Program Manager on subcontractors’ compliance with the requirements of the Approved CMP(s).

Maintain a schedule of known CM activities, projecting work effort for a period of not less than one year in advance, or until the end of the Term where that period is less than one year.





Respond to requests for configuration data from customers and other interested parties, ensuring security and intellectual property aspects are adequately managed.

Maintain configuration records for project technical data and product baselines and supporting documents.

Support engineers to identify and document any changes required to the Product Baseline(s), including changes to configuration documents, the CI hierarchy and changes to CI IDs resulting from major changes to the system.

Adhere to the formal configuration control procedures and engineering change management process set out in the documents provided by the client or other relevant internal documentation.

Undertake configuration audits in support of major changes, routine configuration assurance and in support of the program integrated logistics support functions.

Oversee the records management function which is responsible for preserving various organisational technical records.

Oversee version control of all relevant documents.

Manage corrective action requests resulting from quality audits.

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate all/most of the following:

Qualification - Degree, diploma, formal trade,



or technical certificate qualification in an appropriate technical field.

Demonstrated experience in the development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Engineering documentation.

Oral and written communication skills that are effective in conveying information between technical and non-technical team members.

Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications, in particular Excel and Word.

Must have full working rights in Australia and the ability to achieve NV1 Defence Security Clearance.

The following skills/competencies/experience would also be highly regarded.

Previous experience in the Defence Industry and experience working with contract deliverables listed in the CASG ASDEFCON contract suites would be highly regarded.

Preferably 4 years’ Configuration Management experience or in a similar position managing technical documentation life cycles.

Demonstrated experience working with independence to deliver services and deliverables to strict timelines and quality standards.

Experience working within an ISO9000 or similar certified quality management system as an auditor, manager or supervisor
