About the Role

As a Consultant in the Corporate & Public Affairs Division our Strategic Communications segment, you will take an active role in supporting the day-to-day management of client accounts. You will be responsible for supporting account teams to deliver high quality outcomes for our clients, with a focus on government, stakeholder and media relations.

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.

This vacancy is in addition to the Investor Relations position at FTI Consulting which is being advertised separately.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Completing assigned tasks with a focus on government,



media and stakeholder relations, with some exposure to crisis communications, investor relations and communication campaign management
- Delivering high-quality work within project teams under minimal supervision
- Actively contribute to both internal and client meetings by offering strategic and creative insights
- Staying abreast of client issues and related industry trends, participate in industry networking events and inform team leaders of potential new business opportunities
- Assisting senior team members in developing new business initiatives (e.g. conducting research on prospects, reviewing PowerPoint presentations and proposals, etc.)

What You'll Need to Succeed

We want to hear from candidates who are motivated to learn and are not afraid to ask questions and challenge ideas. We’re looking for creative problem solvers with:

- Strong interest in, and knowledge of, political and current affairs. Some financial literacy is an advantage but not essential




- Approximately 2 years of work experience in a corporate, media or political environment
- An ability to communicate information effectively and accurately, verbally or in writing across multiple disciplines
- Time and priority management skills and an ability to juggle multiple client accounts
- A strong work ethic and an ability to be a self-starter, who can think ahead and anticipate client needs
- Collaborative team player with the ability to also work independently, take initiative and set priorities
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Experience in social media is a plus
- Robust academic performance, with a bachelor’s degree in business, law, politics, communications, or a related field

Compensation

Hourly rate: $37.76

Compensation Disclosure:The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of Superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
