About the Role

Are you looking to start your career in accounting and finance? We are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant to join our remote finance team across Australia. As an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant, you will support daily financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist the finance team with reporting, reconciliations, and administrative tasks. Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

✅ Assist with invoice preparation, payment processing, and expense claims.

✅ Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.

✅ Perform bank, supplier, and account reconciliations.

✅ Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.

✅ Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and data summaries.

✅ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial administration tasks.

✅ Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Requirements





✔ Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

✔ Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

✔ Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP is an advantage.

✔ Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

✔ High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.

✔ Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

✔ No previous accounting experience required—comprehensive training and career development will be provided.
