ACMA Registered Cablers | Data Centre Fibre Installation | Artarmon NSW

NOW Energy is seeking experienced ACMA Open Registered Cablers to join a major Data Centre installation project in Artarmon, Sydney.

We are building a specialist fibre installation crew to commence Monday, 24 August 2026.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for experienced Data Centre technicians who have worked in live mission-critical environments and understand the quality, precision and procedures required within operational Data Centres.

Project Details

- Location: Artarmon, Sydney
- Start Date: Monday, 24 August 2026
- Duration: 8–10 weeks
- Hours: Monday to Friday
- Start Time: 7:00am
- 8–10 hour days
- $50.00 per hour (flat rate)
- 60-minute unpaid meal break
- All tools supplied by the client

About the Role Working within a specialist Data Centre installation team, you'll be responsible for the installation and termination of structured fibre cabling infrastructure on a large-scale Data Centre project.

Duties Include

- Installation of Panduit structured cabling systems
- Running and dressing fibre optic cabling
- Fibre cable tray installation and cable management
- Fibre terminations and testing
- Installation of fibre patch panels, MPO/LC cassettes and adapter plates
- Rack preparation and structured cabling installation
- Fibre and copper cable labelling
- Maintaining strict quality standards and Data Centre housekeeping requirements

Essential RequirementsYou MUST have:

- ACMA Open Cabling Registration (preferred)
- Previous Data Centre experience (mandatory)




- Experience running, terminating and dressing fibre optic cabling
- Experience working with structured cabling systems
- White Card
- Current Police Check (within the last 12 months)
- Full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis, steel cap boots)
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment

Candidates who are not ACMA Open Registered will only be considered if they have extensive, proven experience with:

- Fibre optic installations within Data Centres
- Panduit fibre systems (highly preferred)
- Fibre cable tray installation
- Running and dressing fibre cabling
- Fibre terminations
- Structured cabling installations in mission-critical environments

Highly Regarded
- Experience with Panduit structured cabling products
- MPO/LC fibre termination experience
- OTDR or fibre testing experience
- Previous experience at NextDC, AirTrunk, Equinix, CDC or similar Data Centres
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within strict QA/QC requirements
