The Opportunity:An exciting temporary opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer (AO3) to join a supportive and busy team located in the city. This position plays a key role in providing high-quality, confidential administrative and operational support to ensure smooth daily operations within a agile environment. The successful candidate will bring professionalism, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills to a role that truly makes a difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform a range of administrative tasks including data entry, document management, diary coordination and general office support.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette, empathy, and resilience when dealing with diverse and sometimes challenging clients.
- Manage motor vehicle and fleet bookings, allocations, and related documentation.
- Support financial processing including the preparation of Expense Vouchers in SAP for payment of invoices and staff reimbursements.
- Issue and manage Food Vouchers (both physical and electronic).
- Provide finance and administrative support including filing, quality assurance of data, and maintaining accurate records.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment through adaptability, empathy, and a commitment to quality service.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a government or community service setting (desirable but not essential).
- Demonstrated resilience, empathy, and the ability to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong administrative and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience with financial processes, invoice management or SAP systems (advantageous).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional phone manner.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality required.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and general office systems.
- Mandatory: Current Blue Card and Driver’s Licence.
- Willing and able to undertake a national police check.
The Offer:
- Temporary AO3 position | $50.37 per hour + superannuation.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (7.15-hour workday with a 45-minute lunch break).
