Role Description The Aged Care Auditor and Consultant is a contract, on-site role based in the Greater Brisbane Area. This role involves conducting detailed audits of aged care services against relevant standards, regulations, and organisational policies, and preparing transparent, evidence-based audit reports. The position includes assessing clinical and care practices, reviewing documentation and care plans, and identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

The consultant works closely with providers to develop corrective action plans, provide practical recommendations, and deliver coaching or training to support compliance and quality improvement. Day-to-day responsibilities also include liaising with stakeholders, staying up to date with aged care legislation and funding requirements, and contributing to the development of tools, templates,



and frameworks that enhance service quality and governance. Qualifications

Strong knowledge of aged care standards, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements within Australian health and community sectors.

Demonstrated experience in auditing, quality assurance, or accreditation processes in aged care or related human services.

Background in nursing, allied health, social work, or similar discipline, with a focus on residential or community-based aged care.

Ability to analyse complex data and documentation, identify risks and trends, and prepare clear, structured audit findings and recommendations.

Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to deliver constructive feedback and training.

Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple audits and projects independently on-site.

Proficiency with standard office and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, electronic records systems) and secure data handling practices.

Relevant tertiary qualification in health, human services, or quality management; formal auditor or quality accreditation is highly regarded.

Current registration or membership with a relevant professional body (where applicable) and valid rights to work in Australia.

Commitment to person-centred practice, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement within aged care and broader human services.
