About the role

We are looking for a caring and reliable support worker to visit clients in their own homes and provide personal care and companionship in line with each person’s individual care plan and the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards. You’ll report to a Care Designer and work alongside a close-knit Care Team to make sure every client receives consistent, high-quality support. Because our clients rely on us around the clock, visits can fall in the early morning, during the day, in the evening, or overnight, so flexibility across a rostered week of approximately 38 hours is part of the role.

What you’ll be doing

- Helping clients move through their day with dignity – supporting them to shower, dress, groom and get around their home safely and comfortably.
- Preparing nutritious meals they’ll enjoy, and giving a hand at mealtimes where that support is needed.
- Keeping the household ticking over – light tidying, the weekly shop, everyday errands, and transport to appointments and social outings.
- Being genuine company – for many of our clients the conversation and connection matter just as much as the practical help, and we love supporting them to stay involved in their community.




- Reading the care plan before each visit and keeping clear, accurate notes afterwards, so the whole team stays on the same page.
- Working safely at all times, including the sensible use of any equipment and applying everyday infection-control practices.
- Staying in close contact with your Care Designer, and giving our scheduling team early notice of any availability changes so clients are never left without support.

What we’re looking for

- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and/or Disability), or an equivalent qualification.
- Some hands-on experience in aged care, disability or community support – whether paid or through placement.
- Two people who can speak positively about your work as professional referees.
- Strong, warm communication skills and the confidence to work on your own out in the community.
- A reliable way to travel between client visits across the Lower North Shore.
- A current National Police Check (aged care / vulnerable persons) and a Working with Children Check – or a willingness to obtain them.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or happy to complete it before you start).
- Willingness to work through our short online induction so you’re set up to succeed from day one.
