AI / Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision & Data Modelling) | 6-Month Contract
Location: Perth, WA (Open for Remote Candidates)
Contract Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced AI / Machine Learning Engineer with mandatory Computer Vision experience to join a high-performing data and AI team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning solutions that leverage image and video data to solve complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise Computer Vision models for image recognition, object detection, segmentation, and video analytics.
- Design and implement scalable data models, data pipelines, and machine learning workflows.
- Build, train, evaluate, and deploy AI/ML models using structured and unstructured datasets.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
- Ensure model performance, data quality, scalability, and operational excellence.
Must Have: Computer Vision experience is a core requirement and candidates without hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying Computer Vision solutions will not be considered.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in Computer Vision (essential) using OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
- Solid background in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Modelling.
- Advanced Python development skills.
- Experience designing and managing large-scale data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Experience deploying and operationalising ML models in production environments.
Desirable:
- MLOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD experience.
- Experience working with geospatial, industrial, mining, healthcare, or IoT data.
