The role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Ancillary Services Assistants to join our teams at Walara Balaklava Millcourt and Gilbert Valley (Riverton).
This is a diverse role suited to someone who enjoys keeping busy and takes pride in providing high-quality support across kitchen, cleaning and laundry services.
Working as part of our Ancillary Services team, you'll help ensure our homes remain clean, secure and welcoming while supporting residents through quality hospitality services.
Your responsibilities may include
- Assisting with meal preparation and food service
- Dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Cleaning resident rooms and communal areas
- Laundry duties, including washing, drying and folding
- Maintaining infection prevention and hygiene standards
- Working collaboratively with the wider care and hospitality teams
- Providing friendly and respectful interactions with residents and visitors

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
- Is reliable, flexible and willing to work across kitchen, cleaning and laundry
- Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Demonstrates compassion, patience and respect when working with older people
- Understands the importance of infection prevention and food safety practices
- Is able to work in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience in aged care, hospitality, commercial cleaning or food services is highly regarded, however full training will be provided to the right person. To Be Successful You'll Need
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Aged Care), or willingness to obtain one
- Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate (willing to obtain)
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- South Australian Drivers Licence
- The right to work in Australia
Highly Desirable Role Specific Skills, knowledge, and experience
- Certificate III in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Cleaning Operations or a related qualification.
- Food Safety Supervisor or Food Handling Certificate.
- Previous experience working in aged care, health care, hospitality or commercial cleaning.
