Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ansible Automation Platform Engineer to join our IT Department in Melbourne. This role is crucial for automating our infrastructure, managing deployments, and ensuring operational efficiency across platforms.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions that accelerate service delivery and improve reliability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Ansible, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong background in DevOps practices.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Deep expertise in Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (formerly Ansible Tower/AWX).
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, Ansible Automation).

Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible.




- Maintain and optimize the Ansible Automation Platform environment.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues across various environments.
- Develop and maintain transparent, up-to-date technical documentation.
