Role Description This part-time remote Application Developer role focuses on building and maintaining tools that support Xactimate sketch workflows and related reporting.
The Application
Developer will design, develop, and test software features that improve the creation, management, and integration of sketch data with existing insurance and construction systems. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, working with databases, implementing front-end styles using CSS, and supporting integrations with third-party platforms and internal tools. The role also involves troubleshooting application issues, optimizing performance, and collaborating with team members to refine technical requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
Qualifications
- Robust skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production applications.
- Practical experience working with Databases for storing, querying, and managing structured project and claims data.
- Proficiency in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for implementing and refining user interface components.
- Hands-on experience with Integration of applications, APIs, and third-party platforms within insurance or construction workflows.
- Familiarity with web application frameworks and modern development practices (version control, testing, code review).
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and quality.
- Relevant education or certifications in computer science, software engineering, or a related field are beneficial; experience in insurance, construction, or Xactimate-based workflows is a plus.
