Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from Application Packaging Engineers to support likely upcoming work within government. You will package, sequence, test, and deploy applications to managed devices, making sure software reaches users cleanly and reliably. These are likely to be Canberra-based roles supporting operational and project delivery

Key Responsibilities

- Package applications using MSI, MSIX, App-V, and scripted install methods
- Sequence and test applications for deployment across managed environments
- Deploy packages through tools such as SCCM and Microsoft Intune
- Troubleshoot and remediate packaging, installation, and compatibility issues
- Perform user acceptance testing and coordinate with application owners
- Maintain a version-controlled packaging repository and supporting documentation
- Support application rationalisation and migration activities

Required Experience
- Proven experience in an application packaging role within a managed environment
- Strong knowledge of packaging formats and tools such as MSI, MSIX, App-V, and PSAppDeployToolkit




- Experience deploying applications through SCCM or Intune
- Scripting experience with PowerShell and VBScript
- Sound understanding of Windows desktop operating systems
- Attention to detail and strong testing discipline

Desirable Experience
- Prior experience within an Australian Government or similar secure workplace
- Experience with application compatibility testing during OS migrations
- Familiarity with software distribution and license management
- Relevant Microsoft certifications

Security Clearance Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Active AGSVA Baseline security clearance required

Working Arrangements
- Primarily onsite in Canberra
