About Us

Privately owned construction and development business delivering high-end residential homes and commercial/industrial projects across the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. We design, build and retain our own projects rather than working for external clients. This gives our team the opportunity to work closely with the owners, construction managers, supervisors, consultants and interior designers from early design through to completion.

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson or Building Designer to join our Nerang office and take ownership of residential and commercial drafting and documentation.

The Role

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised and practical.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing concept plans, design development drawings and construction documentation
- Producing detailed residential and commercial drawing packages
- Updating drawings following site, design and construction changes
- Coordinating architectural drawings with structural, civil, hydraulic, electrical and other consultants
- Preparing documentation for building approvals and consultant submissions
- Reviewing consultant drawings and identifying clashes or missing information
- Maintaining accurate drawing registers, revisions and project files
- Supporting construction supervisors with details and clarification
- Working with the interiors team on finishes, layouts and selections
- Attending project and design meetings

What We Are Looking For





- Previous experience in architectural drafting, building design or construction documentation
- Strong experience producing detailed construction drawings
- Residential drafting experience is essential
- Commercial or industrial experience will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of Australian construction methods and documentation
- Good knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and approval processes
- Ability to coordinate consultants and manage drawing revisions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to identify issues before they reach site
- Practical construction knowledge and an understanding of buildability
- Able to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
- Clear communication and strong follow-through

Software

Experience with the following will be highly regarded:
- Archicad

- AutoCAD
- 3D Rendering Software

- Microsoft Office
- Monday.com or similar project-management software
