Job Title: Architectural Draftsperson (ANZSCO 312111) Employment Type: Full time We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsperson to join our team on a full-time basis. Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist our Design Manager, Workshop Manager and Construction Site Manager in planning and coordinating architectural steel fabrication projects.
- Interpret architectural plans, specifications, building regulations and relevant codes of practice.
- Prepare preliminary sketches, shop drawings, working drawings and technical specifications using CAD software.
- Prepare, update and revise plans, layouts and fabrication drawings to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate drawing schedules and project documentation throughout the fabrication and installation process.
- Inspect fabricated work and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards and quality requirements.
- Calculate material quantities and assist in estimating project costs and timeframes.
- Collect site measurements and project data to support the preparation of accurate drawings.
- Perform routine calculations and prepare preliminary layouts to assist with project planning.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
- At least 1 year of experience
- Good time management skills and able to work under pressure.
