SUMMARY
We are partnering with a global medical devices organisation to recruit an Area Sales Manager - Orthopaedic Trauma to drive growth across Australia and New Zealand. This role focuses on a portfolio of trauma implants and fixation solutions , including plates, screws, and fixation systems, and requires strong clinical acumen, operating theatre experience, and a proven track record of commercial success within orthopaedics or medical devices.
This is a unique legacy opportunity to build something brand recent in the market , backed by significant company investment, offering both strategic autonomy and responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute strategic sales initiatives to exceed revenue and market share objectives across the orthopaedic trauma portfolio while developing strong relationships with trauma surgeons, orthopaedic teams, and key hospital stakeholders.
- Drive market expansion through new account acquisition, targeted product adoption strategies, competitive account conversion, and clinical education programs.
- Provide high-quality clinical and technical support in theatre, ensuring optimal use of trauma implants, fixation systems, and related technologies.
- Establish yourself as a trusted partner to customers by delivering solutions that support improved surgical outcomes and patient recovery following traumatic injuries.
- Drive territory performance through disciplined CRM management, accurate forecasting, business planning, and compliance with all regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to execute growth initiatives and support the successful launch and expansion of products within the trauma market.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience within Orthopaedic Trauma or related medical device sectors , ideally with exposure to operating theatre environments.
- Demonstrated success selling trauma implants, fixation systems,
or other clinically complex medical technologies into hospital settings.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with surgeons, theatre staff, procurement teams, and hospital decision-makers.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a market from the ground up, identify new business opportunities, and drive early adoption through proactive engagement and education.
- Proven commercial acumen with strong negotiation, territory management, and business development capabilities.
DURATION Full-time, permanent role
