Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Precision Poultry is a full-time, on-site position based in Tabbita, NSW.
The Assistant
Manager will support daily farm operations, including overseeing poultry care, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare standards. This role will assist with monitoring production performance, maintaining accurate records, and implementing operational improvements in collaboration with the Farm Manager and broader leadership team.
The Assistant
Manager will help manage supplier relationships, coordinate logistics for feed and supplies,
and support compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies. The position also involves training and mentoring team members, promoting a positive work environment, and contributing to continuous improvement across farm processes.
Qualifications
Operational management skills, including coordinating daily activities, supervising staff, and supporting process improvements.
Experience with poultry or agricultural operations, including animal husbandry, biosecurity practices, and farm safety standards.
Solid organizational and record-keeping skills, with the ability to manage schedules, inventory, and compliance documentation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members, suppliers, and industry partners.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a practical, hands-on approach to addressing operational challenges.
Basic proficiency in using digital tools and software for reporting, data entry, and communication.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within agriculture or related industries is highly beneficial.
Relevant vocational training or qualifications in agriculture, agribusiness, or farm management are an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Tabbita, NSW, with flexibility to accommodate operational needs, including early starts or weekend work as required.
