Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

About The Role
Commencing in Term 1, 2027, the Assistant Mentor Team Leader (AMTL) Year 7 plays a pivotal role in shaping the experience of students as they begin their secondary school journey at Knox Grammar School.
This role will see you work closely with the Mentor Team Leader to help create a positive and supportive environment where every student feels known, valued and encouraged to grow. The role focuses on supporting the wellbeing, development and success of students while helping to lead a collaborative team of mentors who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Exercise effective team leadership for the development and support of an efficient Year Mentor Team and in line with the concept of Team that underpins the organisational structure of the School.
- Support and contribute to the effective conduct of Mentor Group Team meetings.
- Enhance fortnightly Wellbeing Meetings aimed at identifying boys at risk, socially and academically and recommend boys for Weekly Report Card
- Support the MTL in the organisation of Year Meetings which will provide opportunities for the development of boys’ leadership and initiative
- Support other Year-related meetings as circumstances demand.
- Assist with the organisation of Year activities outside the formal Mentor Group meeting times
- Contribute to the maintenance of a database of information on each boy in collaboration with key stakeholders such as; Psychologists, Teachers and the Student Administration Officer.
