Automotive Electrician / Mechanic — Electric Vehicle Conversions

About the role

Australian EVS is looking for an experienced Automotive Electrician or Mechanic to join our growing team, working on electric vehicle conversions across a huge range of platforms — from classic restorations to modern 4x4s, buses and commercial fleets. This full-time role is based in Beresfield, NSW 2322, with competitive pay and benefits on offer.

You don't need prior EV experience to apply — if you've got a strong auto electrical or mechanical trade background and enjoy hands-on problem solving, we'll train you up on the EV-specific side.

What you'll be doing

Building and installing wiring harnesses for our EV conversion systems, reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve faults, managing your own job workflow to keep work on schedule and to a high standard, working closely with the rest of the team to share knowledge and solve problems together, keeping clear records of the work you complete, and maintaining a safe, clean and organised workspace.

What we're looking for A trade qualification as an Automotive Electrician, Mechanic, or similar (Cert III or equivalent),



at least 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive electrical, mechanical or electronics work, solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and confidence reading technical schematics, comfort working with modern vehicle electrical systems (exposure to DC power systems, CAN Bus, or high-voltage components is a bonus, not a requirement), valuable communication and a customer-focused attitude, a genuine focus on safety and quality, and a valid driver's licence.
