Goodyear Autocare Coffs Harbour is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Light Vehicle Auto Technician to join our dynamic team on either a part or full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced automotive environment where you will utilise your technical expertise to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide variety o vehicles to the highest standards. Based in Coffs Harbour NSW, this role is central to delivering exceptional service to our customers and maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship.
As an Auto Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring every vehicle that leaves our workshop is safe, reliable and meets or exceeds customer expectations.
What you'll be doing
- Diagnosing vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and mechanical knowledge
- Performing routine maintenance including log book and general servicing
- Repairing and replacing vehicle components and carrying out general mechanical repairs
- Conducting pre- and post-repair inspections to ensure work quality and safety standards
- Completing job cards accurately and communicating repair requirements and progress to customers
- Maintaining a clean and organised workshop workplace in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Keeping up to date with vehicle technology and repair techniques relevant to modern automobiles
- Working collaboratively with other technicians and workshop staff to meet customer deadlines
- Adhering to all safety procedures and best practice standards in the automotive industry
What we're looking for
- A light vehicle automotive qualification is essential as is a current MVRL licence for NSW
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Auto Technician in a similar workshop or service environment
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and electrical components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers and staff
- A commitment to health and safety compliance and best practice standards
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including working in various positions and lifting components
- A valid Australian driving licence
- Preferred: Current Authorised examiner NSW
