The AWS Senior Cloud Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC. This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing secure, scalable AWS cloud environments to support client applications and data platforms. Day-to-day activities include provisioning and configuring infrastructure-as-code, implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring performance and reliability, and troubleshooting complex cloud and network issues.

The engineer will collaborate with software developers, data engineers, and CX teams to align cloud solutions with business and technical requirements, while promoting best practices in security, cost management, and automation.



The role also involves documenting architectures, mentoring team members, and contributing to continuous improvement of Nexifi’s cloud and DevOps standards.

- Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing and Infrastructure skills, including hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (such as Python, Go, or Node.js) for automation, tooling, and integration tasks.
- Candidates should possess experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes or AWS ECS/EKS).
- Relevant skills and qualifications include strong understanding of cloud security and compliance, monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK), and cost optimization in AWS.
- Beneficial qualifications include AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer), experience in consulting or client-facing roles.
