Role Description The Azure Integration Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services and related technologies. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing integration requirements, building and configuring APIs and workflows, troubleshooting integration issues, and ensuring reliable data flows between systems and applications.

The engineer collaborates with software developers, systems engineers, and business stakeholders to translate functional needs into secure, scalable technical solutions. The role also involves documenting integration designs, performing performance tuning, monitoring production integrations,



and contributing to best practices and standards for cloud-based integration across the organization.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of relevant industry experience , with strong hands-on experience in Azure integration, cloud development and enterprise application integration.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing and supporting Azure integration solutions using services such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management and Event Grid .
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills , with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration, API and cloud platform issues.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, JSON/XML, authentication mechanisms and API integration patterns , with experience integrating cloud and enterprise applications.
- Experience with event-driven, asynchronous and message-based integration architectures , including queues, topics, retries, exception handling and dead-letter processing.
- Proficiency in at least one relevant development or scripting technology such as C#, .NET, PowerShell, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript .
- Good understanding of Azure security and identity , including Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, OAuth 2.0, Key Vault, RBAC and secure API access.
- Experience designing scalable, secure,



resilient and maintainable integration solutions across cloud and hybrid enterprise environments.
- Experience with Azure monitoring and troubleshooting , including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics and diagnostic logging.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices , including Azure DevOps or GitHub, Git-based source control, automated deployments and environment configuration management.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using technologies such as Bicep, ARM templates or Terraform would be highly regarded.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SAP and other SaaS or enterprise applications would be advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with architects, developers, functional consultants and customer stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) , are highly regarded.
