About the Role

Pane e Pizzico Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our growing team in Melbourne. We are looking for a passionate professional who takes pride in producing high-quality artisan breads, pizzas, and baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, mix, knead and shape doughs for breads, pizza bases and other baked products.
- Bake a variety of breads and specialty bakery items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor fermentation, proofing and baking processes to ensure product consistency.
- Prepare fillings, toppings and other bakery ingredients as required.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering bakery ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Assist with developing new bakery products and seasonal menu items.




- Work collaboratively with other kitchen and bakery staff to meet daily production requirements.

Essential Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Baker (or equivalent part-time experience).
- A relevant qualification (such as Certificate III in Baking or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of bread-making techniques, dough preparation, fermentation and baking processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to producing high-quality products and maintaining food safety standards.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.
