The Role We are seeking an experienced and energetic Bar Manager to join the opening leadership team of Bubba Gump Shrimp Co Sandgate. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing bar operations, leading and engaging the team, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and ensuring efficient service within a fast-paced, high-volume venue.

You will play a key role in creating a fun, engaging, and professional atmosphere while driving beverage quality, operational standards, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional service
- Maintain high standards of customer experience and guest engagement
- Demonstrate comprehensive cocktail, beverage, and menu knowledge
- Manage day-to-day bar operations in a fast-paced service environment
- Monitor inventory levels, stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, and workplace health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented bar and service area
- Support team collaboration across front and back of house operations
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and service recovery professionally
- Assist with rostering,



team development, and operational performance targets
- Work within QR ordering and full table service systems

About You

- Passionate about hospitality, cocktails, and delivering memorable guest experiences
- Solid leadership and team development skills
- Confident working in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Positive, hands-on, and solutions-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and operational standards

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Bar Manager or senior bar leadership role
- Experience within a high-profile, high-volume full table service venue
- Extensive cocktail and beverage knowledge
- Experience working within fast-paced cocktail and service bar environments
- Experience using QR ordering systems
- Current RSA certification
- Full Australian working rights
- Own reliable transport
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays

Highly Desirable

- Experience in themed or entertainment-driven venues
- First Aid / Training qualifications
- RMLV
