The Opportunity We’re seeking a qualified and experienced Boilermaker/Fabricator to jour our growing team based from our modern, purpose-built Precision Engineering Workshop in Dalby.
This is far more than a traditional workshop fabrication role. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of fabrication, maintenance and project work supporting clients throughout the Oil & Gas, Mining, Agriculture and Industrial sectors. Predominantly based in our workshop, this role offers the stability of workshop-based work while providing opportunities to support site-based projects across Queensland, delivering variety, challenge and the chance to continually expand your skills.
You'll be equipped with high-quality tooling, equipment and technology—all provided by Entec—so you can focus on producing exceptional work. We continually invest in our facilities, resources and innovative ways of working to ensure our team has everything they need to succeed. As part of our growing engineering business, you’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside our precision machining team, gaining exposure to advanced machining processes and expanding your knowledge of integrated manufacturing solutions.
While machining experience is not required, and interest in learning and developing your skills in this area will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Fabrication, welding and general boiler making duties.
- Manufacture, repair and modification of structural steel and mechanical components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Work to ensure compliance with specifications and Entec's quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and clients to deliver quality outcomes.
- Take pride in your workspace by maintaining Entec's tooling, equipment and workshop facilities to the highest standard.
- Champion a proactive safety culture through hazard identification, risk management and compliance with company and client requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Trade Qualification/s – Engineering Trade (Boilermaker/Welder) or equivalent.
- Competent fabrication and welding capability.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Current unrestricted C Class Driver Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in workmanship.
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Willingness to learn CNC Machining, experience advantageous.
Highly Regarded But Not Essential
- Forklift, Dogging, EWP or other High Risk Work Licences.
- Additional/specialist welding qualifications or machining experience across a variety of equipment.
