About the role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join our team on a full time, ongoing basis. Based out of Huntingdale, you will carry out brick and block work on construction sites across the Perth metropolitan area, working as part of a small, hands-on crew.
What you will be doing
- Studying plans and specifications to determine the materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- Erecting and dismantling restricted-height scaffolding
- Laying bricks, blocks and other components in mortar, and spreading mortar between joints
- Sealing foundations and laying mortar to serve as a base and binder for blocks
- Checking vertical and horizontal alignment and finishing to specified profiles
- Cutting and shaping bricks and blocks using machines and hand tools to fit spaces
- Repairing and maintaining brickwork, cement blocks and related structures
- Working safely and in accordance with work health and safety requirements at all times
What you will need
- At least 1 year of work experience as a bricklayer
- A current Construction Induction (White) Card
- The ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Sound knowledge of bricklaying methods, tools and materials
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team
- A good level of physical fitness for the demands of on-site work
- The right to work in Australia
Highly regarded
- A Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or an equivalent trade qualification
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport to sites
- Additional site tickets (for example, working at heights or elevated work platform)

- A salary of $85,000 to $90,000 per annum plus superannuation
