Role Description The Business Analyst (Entry / Junior) is a part‑time role based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. This role supports the delivery of strategic and transformation initiatives by gathering and documenting business requirements, mapping business processes, and conducting basic data and trend analysis. The analyst will assist in preparing reports, presentations, and dashboards that communicate insights to stakeholders, and help facilitate workshops or meetings to capture needs and validate solutions.
Day‑to‑day activities include collaborating with cross‑functional teams, contributing to process improvement efforts, and ensuring that proposed changes are aligned with organisational objectives and user needs.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights.
Foundational experience or training in business analysis, including requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
Understanding of business processes and business requirements, with an interest in process mapping and improvement.
Effective communication skills, including clear written documentation and confident verbal interaction with diverse stakeholders.
Relevant academic background in Business, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Proficiency in common productivity and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization or workflow tools is an advantage).
Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid workplace, manage time independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
Interest in organisational transformation, change management, and continuous improvement; prior exposure to university or public sector environments is beneficial but not required.
