We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a growing beverage business with a portfolio of exciting and innovative brands. This role is responsible for managing a defined territory across both On and Off Premise channels, driving distribution, securing new business opportunities and growing brand presence within existing and prospective customer accounts.

Reporting to the Sales Leadership Team, you will take ownership of your territory, managing a structured call cycle, developing customer relationships and delivering against key sales and distribution objectives. Success in this role will come from your ability to identify opportunities, open new accounts, reactivate lapsed customers, and negotiate ranging and promotional activity while executing with excellence in market.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of On and Off Premise accounts within your territory.
- Identify, target and secure new customers that align with the brand portfolio.
- Develop and execute territory plans and call cycles to maximise sales productivity and customer coverage.
- Prioritise high-potential accounts to drive distribution, shelf presence and promotional participation.
- Build strong relationships with Store Managers, Venue Managers and key decision-makers, with strong understanding of independent liquor buying behaviours.
- Leverage independent liquor relationships to secure meetings quickly and develop new opportunities.
- Conduct regular account reviews to increase sales, distribution and profitability.
- Negotiate ranging, displays and promotional activity.
- Execute case deals, trade programs and promotional initiatives.
- Work with marketing to deliver campaigns,



activations and brand initiatives.
- Use CRM and reporting systems to manage activity, call planning and performance, maintaining strong CRM discipline.
- Analyse sales data and territory performance to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
- Represent the business at customer events, activations and industry functions.

What You'll Bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ sales experience within beverages, liquor, FMCG or a related industry.
- Solid understanding of the Australian On and Off Premise liquor landscape.
- Proven experience managing a geographical territory and structured call cycle.
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of opening new accounts and winning business.
- Comfortable cold calling and prospecting new customers.
- Ability to reactivate lapsed accounts and convert them into active business.
- Established independent liquor relationships with strong connections to store owners and managers.
- Robust understanding of independent buying behaviours and decision-making drivers.
- Ability to quickly secure meetings and build strong relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating ranging, promotions and trade programs.
- Understanding of retailer margin, promotional mechanics and category drivers.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, Rhino.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills.
