We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations & Business Development Manager to join our team in the transport and warehouse sector. This role is a blend of operational leadership and business development, offering an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about driving efficiency, growth, and building robust business relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing operations while also contributing to business expansion and client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, dispatching, inventory management, and stock control to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage driver job scheduling via the Teletrac Navman System, ensuring timely and effective allocation.
- Supervise vehicle maintenance and inspections, ensuring all trucks are operational, compliant, and well-maintained.
- Ensure quality control standards are met, focusing on maintenance management and compliance with mass management regulations.
- Identify and resolve vehicle issues promptly, liaising with the team for fault reporting and swift resolution.
- Provide regular operational reports to senior management, ensuring a smooth flow of communication between departments.
- Work closely with the Driver Coordinator/Team Leader to coordinate operational activities and maintain a seamless workflow.

Business Development:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and client relationships within the transport and logistics industry.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies to drive business growth and improve service offerings.




- Collaborate with leadership to set and achieve business development goals, contributing to the broader organizational objectives.
- Develop and present proposals to potential clients, demonstrating our company's operational capabilities and commitment to excellence.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

- Work alongside senior management to align operational and business development goals.
- Lead and motivate teams, ensuring all staff are fully engaged and contribute to the company's success.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement within the warehouse and transport operations.

Must-Haves:

- Forklift License (High Reach preferred).
- Australian Driver’s License with clear police clearance.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient computer skills, including expertise in operational software like Teletrac Navman.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional attitude with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Adaptability and proactive approach to problem-solving and client satisfaction.

Desirable:

- Previous experience in transport, warehouse management, or business development.
- MC License (desirable but not mandatory).
- Experience with sales and client relationship management.
- Experience working with Teletrac Navman Software.
