Business Development Manager - Geoscience – Digital Orebody Knowledge

IMDEX is building an integrated digital earth knowledge ecosystem that connects drilling, geological, geotechnical and operational data to improve orebody knowledge and reduce uncertainty across the mining value chain.

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our Digital Orebody Knowledge (OBK) solutions across the mining and geoscience sectors.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical geoscience expertise with strong business development skills to drive the adoption of cutting-edge data analytics and machine learning technologies. You will play a key role in expanding our footprint, building long-term partnerships, and contributing to IMDEX’s growth strategy.

What You’ll Do

- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within mining and geoscience organisations
- Promote Digital OBK solutions, including machine learning and advanced data analytics capabilities
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand operational challenges and position data-driven solutions




- Build and maintain strong, trusted customer relationships across technical and executive audiences
- Support the adoption and integration of digital technologies across customer operations
- Collaborate with internal technical and product teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Contribute to market insights, innovation, and thought leadership in geoscience and digital transformation
- Represent IMDEX at industry events, conferences, and client engagements

About You You are a commercially savvy geoscience professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, data, and customer value.

Key Requirements:

- A degree in Geoscience, Geology, or related discipline is required
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within mining, exploration, geoscience
- Strong understanding of orebody knowledge, drilling, or subsurface data workflows
- Exposure to or interest in digital technologies, data analytics, or machine learning
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
