Business Development Manager — Nbryo
Brisbane based | National role | Excellent salary, bonus and ESOP opportunities A new technology category, backed to scale
Nbryo is a quick-moving Queensland based agri-biotech company developing next-generation reproductive technology for the beef and dairy cattle industries.
Backed by more than $22 million in funding, Nbryo has moved from R&D; into commercial scale. Its core IVF and embryo production service has been live and growing with Australian producers since 2024. Its embryo multiplication technology has just come to market. And a world-first embryo transfer device is on track for release in the first half of 2027.
This is a business at the inflection point between "promising startup" and "industry game changer" ", and it needs someone to develop and grow the market in this Business Development capacity.
The role
This is a newly created, national Business Development Manager role reporting to the Head of Growth, based out of Nbryo's Freeway Office Park office in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane.
The role is responsible for launching new and novel IVF technologies into the market and generating revenue growth through the promotion and sale of embryo production services across Australia. You'll identify, develop and convert new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, working closely with beef and dairy producers, field teams, laboratory operations and marketing to make sure customer requirements are understood and commercial targets are achieved.
What you'll be doing
- Business development & sales growth — develop and execute regional sales plans to drive adoption of Nbryo's IVF services across Australia
- Customer acquisition & conversion — identify, engage and convert commercial beef, seedstock and dairy producers into active Nbryo customers
- Key account management — build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic customers to maximise retention, repeat use and lifetime value
- Industry engagement & market development — represent Nbryo at industry events, field days, conferences and customer forums to build awareness and generate opportunities
- Sales planning & forecasting — maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting through CRM
- Customer success & commercial readiness — work closely with operations and laboratory teams so customer expectations are understood and delivered on
What you'll bring
As the successful candidate, you will have a strong understanding of the Australian beef and/or dairy industries, and knowledge of cattle genetics, reproduction or livestock production systems. Additionally:
- You will have demonstrated competency in commercial sales processes and territory management, with 5+ years in sales, business development or account management and a track record of hitting revenue and growth targets, ideally within agriculture, livestock, animal health,
genetics or agribusiness.
- You will know how to run a real pipeline: prospect, qualify, negotiate, close, and grow the account afterwards, communicating technical concepts to a commercial audience along the way.
- Knowledge of bovine IVF, embryo transfer or artificial breeding technologies is desirable but not essential.
- A degree or diploma in agriculture, agribusiness, animal science, business or marketing is useful, though equivalent industry experience with demonstrated commercial success matters just as much.
- Dairy industry expertise is a bonus and may open the door to some New Zealand work down the track.
Nbryo possesses deep technical expertise in-house. What it needs is someone who understands customers, sales processes and how to build on a commercial presence. Success here is measured through adoption, i.e. how many producers know what Nbryo does, and how many are actually using it.
What's on offer
- Excellent salary plus bonus, in addition to the opportunity to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
- Opportunity to work with an innovative and game changing company, surrounded by experienced leaders and future development opportunities.
- Genuine mix of desk-based pipeline work and time in the field at conferences, field days and with customers
- The chance to build a commercial function around a cutting-edge technology category
